Denninger's Ontario Cheeses & Drizzles: October 24th

Burlington Centre has partnered with <a href="https://www.burlingtongreen.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">BurlingtonGreen</a> to host a Zero Waste Event to help the community repurpose household items and eliminate clutter from their homes and offices while helping the environment. The convenient contact-free drop-off will take place at Burlington Centre in the outer parking lot off of Fairview Street&nbsp;from 10am to 4pm, where volunteers will gladly accept a variety of items to be properly recycled. Crew members from the&nbsp;Tech Genius Burlington&nbsp;will be on-site to accept computer and cell phone electronics, and a series of<a href="https://zerowasteboxes.terracycle.ca/collections/zero-waste-boxes" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">&nbsp;Terracycle Zero Waste</a>&nbsp;bins will be located at the drop-off station to accept more unique waste items not currently accepted in Halton Region’s recycling program.&nbsp; Pesky candy wrappers, Brita water filters, reusable plastic containers and lids and used PPE can be dropped off, along with batteries and ink cartridges. <a href="https://www.burlingtongreen.org/events/take-action-day/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Click here</a>, for more information about the event.<a href="Click herhttps://www.burlingtongreen.org/programs/zero-waste-events/e" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Click here</a>, to see a full list of what can be recycled.

The opening awards reception for the juried exhibition of 40 paintings by members of the Burlington Fine Art Association will take place on Oct 20 from 1 – 4pm.&nbsp;It will feature opening remarks by Minister Karina Gould and Arts and Culture manager of the City of Burlington, Angela Paparizo. One of our jurors, Rayne Tunley will also introduce our award winners and the rationale behind their selection.
